Frequently asked questions:
What is the location of the yoga classes?
Click here for class schedule to see locations.
What style of yoga are the classes?
Danna has studied many styles of yoga. Her classes could best be described as traditional Hatha with a strong Iyengar influence. The focus is on stillness, steadiness and full breathing while holding the classic postures.
Can I take your classes if I have never done yoga, am “not flexible,” or haven’t practiced in a long time?
Yes, yoga can be practiced by anyone, no matter their fitness level, strength, “flexibility,” or size. Yoga practice should accommodate different abilities, so alternate or modified postures are always an option. If you do have special physical considerations, please let Danna know in advance and communicate your needs during class.
What if I have an injury or illness?
Talk with your doctor about your condition and whether practicing yoga is suitable. If you have prior approval from your doctor, let Danna know your physical condition before registering.
Do I need to register in advance for classes?
Advance registration is not necessary for the Beginner, Mixed Level, and Moms classes, though it is highly recommended for the Restorative class which has limited enrollment. To register, contact Danna by email at dannadurga@aol.com

Can I drop in for one class?
Yes, absolutely for the Beginner, Mixed Level, and Moms classes. The Restorative class has limited enrollment so best to pre-register for that class.
Are there refunds if I don't use all of the classes on an 8-class card?
The 8-class card is good for 8 classes within 12 weeks from the time of purchase. No refunds or extensions are given for unused classes. If there is a break in the class schedule during the 12 weeks, the 12 weeks will be extended by the length of the break.
Can I have private yoga instruction?
Yes, Danna offers private yoga instruction. The rate for a 75 minute lesson is $90.
Is yoga a religion? Do the classes support particular spiritual beliefs?
Yoga is not a religion. It is a spiritual practice in which we open up to the divine life force energy within ourselves and all around us. There is no specific image or religion associated with the divine and you can conceive of this energy/consciousness in your own terms. There is nothing in Danna's teaching that is contrary to any specific religious beliefs.
